The interactive Austria 360° KHM app offers a very special insight into Vienna’s Kunsthistorisches Museum (KHM). A virtual tour of the museum by 360° panorama view conveys the impression of actually being on the spot, while interactive elements allow the user to navigate through the museum by means of optomotor control. Three different stories can be followed: children frolicking through the museum, an art student, or a look over a restorer’s shoulder. Not only does the app surprise by an interactive storytelling element, but by strolling through the museum through gaze control, the user can also access interesting picture, text and audio information in German and English. Thus, the visitor receives valuable perspectives on the picture gallery or the collection of antiques and is offered as view behind the scenes. In addition, the authentic sound world gives an acoustic insight into the atmosphere of the museum.
Version 1.0 of the interactive Austria 360° KHM app offers a virtual tour through Vienna's Art History Museum. The experience builds on top of 360° video and features gaze interactivity, spherical audio and an overlay of rich media content.
