Discover an immersive VR experience of the exhibition A Beautiful Elsewhere: a selection of key works from the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain Collection presented in Shanghai from April 25 to July 29, 2018. The VR experience is tailored by an international team of world-class creatives from the art, film and entertainment industries–the virtualization of these major works was entrusted to Directive Games, who produced the virtual universe for Steven Spielberg's film Ready Player One (2018) and the video game The Machines (2017)–, plunging visitors into the Power Station of Art in Shanghai through a high-definition digital experience. This cutting-edge interactive VR technology offers a breathtaking close view of a selection of iconic pieces from the Collection of the Fondation Cartier. A Beautiful Elsewhere in VR is an invitation to travel, a journey around the world, and an exploration of the territories, literal and imaginative, presented by the Fondation Cartier through the ensemble of its Parisian and international exhibitions. On October 20, 1984, Cartier launched the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain. With its pioneering, visionary approach to patronage, the Fondation Cartier invented a new approach to exhibition-making, multi-disciplinary in nature and characterized by a spirit of curiosity and inquiry.
